We're almost there -- just 19 days left.

The final three weeks of any election, and especially of this one, are about one thing -- getting out the vote. The math is simple: if the folks who voted in 2008 vote again in 2010, then Democrats keep both the House and Senate and we can keep moving America forward.

You and I have to make sure they don't stay home. All over the country, in all 50 states -- and in Garland -- OFA volunteers are rolling up their sleeves and asking their neighbors to commit to vote this fall.

Can you make it out to take part on Sunday?

If we succeed this November, we'll build on our past victories by continuing to improve the economy and get Americans back to work, fighting for clean energy, green jobs, and immigration reform. If we lose, the Republicans who have vowed to repeal Wall Street reform and phase out Social Security will take over our government -- and maybe even shut it down.

There are no two ways around it: to achieve the things we fought for in 2008, we need to win in 2010. And to win in 2010, we need to get out the vote.

Earlier this week, the President held a town-hall meeting with some first time voters from 2008. He told them our involvement in democracy signals "a reaffirmation of a central American truth, which is our destiny is not written for us by somebody else -- our destiny is written by us."

The bison of Yellowstone National Park – the last true, wild bison in America – face harassment and slaughter this winter… unless we can stop it.

Dear Arnold,

They are America’s last true, wild bison. Their line survived the Ice Age and the shameful bison massacres of the 1800s. They are the wild bison of Yellowstone National Park.

Unfortunately, many of these amazing animals may not survive the winter.

Help prevent the slaughter of Yellowstone bison. Donate now to help us mobilize tens of thousands of caring people and convince federal officials to protect these iconic and majestic creatures.

It’s a tragic story that plays out year after year. Each winter, members of the Yellowstone bison herd descend from the park in search of food.

And each year, these animals are hazed back into the park (where food is scarce), and even slaughtered… all out of an exaggerated fear that these amazing animals may transmit disease to the area’s livestock.

Over 900 bison were slaughtered in 2005 – and over 1,600 in 2008!

Whenever the Yellowstone bison herd gets much larger than 3,000, state and federal agencies kill them back in a twisted form of population control. The latest bison count puts the herd at nearly 4,000, making these majestic animals particularly vulnerable this winter.

But this year can be different.

Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund is preparing to mobilize tens of thousands of activists to help prevent the bison slaughter, reaching out to new online activist communities like Change.org, Care2 and The Animal Rescue Site to build support for an end to this shameful treatment of some of America’s most treasured wildlife.

We’re also helping to secure new habitat for Yellowstone’s bison, away from those who would see them killed.

With your support, we’ll work to save more of these imperiled animals by having them moved to more bison-friendly country on the Fort Peck and Fort Belknap Indian Reservations – ensuring that America’s last true, wild bison are not isolated to Yellowstone while also helping these tribes achieve their goals to restore true, wild bison to tribal lands.

Thanks to our now more than 44,000 grassroots donors, we've broken fundraising records and have had the resources needed to compete on the ground and over the airwaves, where we're holding Michele Bachmann accountable every day.

But our job is not done yet. Just yesterday, Michele Bachmann announced that she raised $5.4 million in the last three months alone. That's an average of $60,000 a day for 90 days.

It's also 5.4 million reasons for you to contribute what you can to Tarryl Clark today.

We never expected to out-raise or out-spend the self-appointed head of the Tea Party. From the beginning, we've always had faith that supporters like you would help us keep up with Bachmann's money machine. And we are doing just that.

We've set an aggressive online fundraising goal for the home stretch - $200,000 in the month of October - and we need to raise over $40,000 this week to stay on track to meet our goal. We need to meet that goal, and so we need your help today.

Won there first game in the Play offs by the score of 5 to 1 again the Tampa bay Ray and in game 2 Texas IS leading the Rays by the Score of 6 to 0 in the bottom of the 8th in a 2 rum shot by kinsler and a 4 run blast my Micheal young and 6 and a 3rd inning pitching by C J Wilson and Cliff LeeCliff Lee has given the Ranger a lead of 2 and o in the best of 5 series and were coming home Saturday to Texas. and Colby Lewis will have the start and a Chance to close out the series this Saturday at 4:15 pm for the ranger it was 6 runs 9 hit and 1 error .

for the Rays it was 0 runs 2 hits and 1 error
