The Bernie Buzz
Mr President: Be
Bold on Jobs
Crumbling Infrastructure = Jobs Creation
President Obama will address a joint session of Congress tonight on creating jobs. "The president must show that he understands that the economic situation today is horrendous," Bernie said. He hopes the president will lay out bold solutions to help the 25 million Americans, 16 percent of the workforce, who are unemployed or underemployed. The centerpiece of Bernie's own four-point jobs plan is to make major investments in rebuilding roads and bridges and other crumbling infrastructure, and also invest in rail, broadband, and cell phone services. He also would help local governments facing layoffs of teachers, firefighters, police officers and other workers. Transforming our energy system to rely far less on imported fossil fuel will make the nation more secure and create large numbers of good-paying jobs. Finally, Bernie says Congress must rethink the disastrous trade policies that decimated manufacturing in the United States. American companies must invest in America, not outsource jobs to China.

One of the very worst natural disasters in Vermont
A Vermont Disaster
"The spirit of our people is extraordinary, but we're a state that's in a lot of trouble," Bernie said after touring flood-ravaged towns across Vermont. "Hurricane Irene will go down as one of the very worst natural disasters in the history of the state," he told senators when he spoke on the floor on Tuesday. In a letter to Vermonters, Bernie wrote that his office will provide information to help them get the assistance they need. "Senator Leahy, Congressman Welch and I are working with Governor Shumlin to do everything we can to make sure that Vermont receives the resources from the federal government that we will need to rebuild our communities as quickly and successfully as possible," he said.

Hands off Social Security
Keep Social Security Strong
Bernie will soon introduce legislation to keep Social Security strong for another 75 years. His bill would make incomes over $250,000 a year subject to payroll tax. He also sent a message to a powerful new congressional super committee looking for ways to cut deficits by $1.5 trillion over the next decade. "We are here today to send a loud and clear message to this super committee: do not cut Social Security!"

Tarryl Clark some one you can trust in congress
Giving Bachmann the fight of her life

Dear Arnold,
Are you ready to rumble?
Michele Bachmann is in the fight of her life, and as we've seen, she fights dirty.
Bachmann's spent over $9 million - $187,000 per day in October - lying about Tarryl's record over the TV, the radio, and through the mail. Bachmann is willing to do anything and say anything in order to get back to Washington and her special interest friends.
But Tarryl is up for the fight because she has you.
Watch our (awesome) new video to get fired up for the next 72 hours, and then sign up to get out the vote - right now!
The only way to knock Michele Bachmann out of Congress is by talking person-to-person, door-to-door, and neighbor-to-neighbor to tell them about Bachmann's losing record for the 6th District and about Tarryl's winning record for the people she represents.
We need YOU in Tarryl's corner for the next 72 hours. Sign up for a GOTV shift now!
We had hundreds of people throughout the district on the phones and at the doors yesterday; it was a tremendous start to our get-out-the-vote efforts. Will you join us now before it's too late?
Sincerely,
Zach Rodvold
Campaign Manager
Tarryl Clark or Congress
P.S. Tarryl can send Michele Bachmann back to her extreme right wing corner - but only if you help deliver the knockout punch we need. Please take a moment to sign up today.

Arnold --
Remember when the GOP was in control?
They drove up record deficits to pass tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of the middle class.
And now they want to do it again. If they take over Congress, Republicans have promised to go back to the "exact same agenda" that drove our economy into a ditch.
You can't make this stuff up. The exact same agenda.
So I'm going to do everything I can to make sure they don't get the chance. We have a plan in place and 13 days to get it done -- but each and every one of us needs to do what we can today.
Please donate $3 today to help us keep them out of power.
For months, our opponents sat on the sidelines while you helped the President and our allies in Congress move America forward.
Republicans are still clutching that same political playbook.
And folks like Sharron Angle in Nevada, Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, and Tom Corbett in Pennsylvania want to go beyond the failed policies of the past. Backed by millions in special interest money, some Republicans want to cut the minimum wage, gut Social Security, and end Medicare as we know it.
But Barack and I don't believe economic growth in America has to come at the expense of the middle class.
In fact, we believe we're only making progress when hard-working families are doing better -- and, with your help, we're getting there.
Thanks to health insurance reform, no one will have to choose between keeping their home and getting the care they need.
Thanks to student loan reform, more parents can send their kids to college -- even if it looked out of reach in years past.
Thanks to our investments in clean energy, entrepreneurs are creating jobs and writing a new energy future for this country.
That's change we can all believe in. That's change that doesn't discriminate between Democrats, Republicans, or independents. That's the kind of America I believed in growing up in Scranton and raising my boys in Delaware.
Barack and I are going to keep fighting for that America -- and right now, you get to decide how this fight plays out.
Donate $3 or more today and help us finish strong:
https://donate.barackobama.com/CantGoBack
Thanks for all that you do,
Joe Biden

Well they done it again; first they wanted to eliminate social security and now they want to eliminate public school and the minimum wage too. don't get me wrong I am and pro business. but what there talking about is to change this country into a third world country by not educating our children and allowing major companies to pay what ever they feel like on any certain day. sure that would increase the profits of corporations. But they don't live in the real world where people pay rent or a mortgage payment; or food i guess. car payments electric bills insurance on there cars or may be there already rich and don't understand what it like to be a working man or lady in this world. a group called Cato has at least a few good ideas;1 cut federal worker pay and benefits by 10% that would save us tax payers 20 billion annually; and eliminate the war on drugs that would save us another 15 billion a year.and the military out reach program our military should be for the defence of the United States not the worlds policeman that would save us 100 billion dollars a year also. And farm subsidies that are cooperate welfare 70 % of aid going to the largest 10% of Agra business according to Cato. and Instead of doing away with social security we need to write a law That would stop Congress from touching social security and medicare and raise the amount out of our pay to fund it and get it out of the red ink forever. there are always going to be people who can't work ; and need our help and we should be good neighbors to them . and if we really want to do some thing we would recycle every thing put people to work separating tin; aluminum. paper products; glass and plastic and get rid of the dumps and we pay them to either melt them down so they could be used to make other products or back into cans and bottles again saving the environment that we live in too. and It wouldn't hurt if we had a program that would put non violent offenders not behind prison walls into a trading program that would offer them work and education and discipline at the same time; that would slim down federal and state budgets by up to 30 thousand a year per prisoner and like my friend Tara pointed out that incarcerating 143 out of every 1000 is way too much and costs us out the butt too. But we can't afford to have Our people live in hovervilles either. buy doing away with the min wage and allowing the greedy and the insane to run the asylum common sense should tell us that
